Jasper Van Grootel, he s very well know in the design world for numerous projects and collections but the one i admire the most is the Plastic fantastic pieces, where he restores Baroque styled antiques and coats them with the a special Soft Skin® rubber. The rubber makes these pieces suitable for indoors and outdoors. The pieces are all unique so the models can be different. The collection comes in a large variety of colors and consists of different types of chairs, a sofa and a dresser, but also accessories such as a light fixture, chandelier and a cushion.
The pieces don't come cheap so for now they are just to be admired.
This is again another way of recycling and re transforming what's old by giving it a new modern life , applying to antique objects, moderns materials and colors.
